The California Legislature has unanimously approved a resolution urging President Joe Biden and Congress to expedite solutions to the Tijuana sewage crisis.
Assembly Joint Resolution 12 urges federal lawmakers to fully fund a multimillion-dollar plan to capture and treat sewage-polluted water that frequently spills over the border from Tijuana into the ocean near South San Diego shorelines. Sweetwater Authority recently launched the agency’s first-ever Low-
Income Customer Assistance Program to help eligible households pay
their residential water bills.
The program highlights the commitment by the Authority’s Governing Board (Board) to support low-income members of the community by providing bill assistance for essential water service.
The City of San Diego’s Coordinated Street Outreach Program conducts focused outreach events in areas across the City.
During the multi-agency events, outreach teams canvass an area to engage unsheltered folks and connect them to supportive services.
The Coronado City Manager's update covers various community initiatives and activities.
The city is currently monitoring traffic volumes to support planning efforts, with new detectors being installed.
The County has a new tool to help people find affordable housing. An interactive website and map is now available to search for affordable housing developments built with the help of County funds.
The County-Restricted Affordable Housing Map shows existing developments and those under construction.
Getting involved with City Council meetings in Chula Vista is a vital way for residents to engage with their local government and influence community decisions.
Regular meetings of the City Council are scheduled for the first four Tuesdays of each month at 5 p.m. in Council Chambers.
