South County EDC Reaches over 500 Businesses 

Our Business Outreach efforts, led by Vivian Valenzuela our Business Outreach Director, involve in-person visits to each business in South County. Since March of this year, she has successfully reached out to 500 businesses, ensuring that we assess their needs and provide the necessary support for various business services.

The South County EDC has a goal to reach 3K Businesses by end of Fiscal Year 2023-2024.

South County EDC offers business assistance from financing to workforce development.

Best quarter ever for new zero-emission vehicle sales

In the second quarter of 2024, Californians purchased 118,181 zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) representing 25.7% of all new vehicle sales in the state. 

That’s nearly 10,000 more than the first three months of the year and the second highest ever market share.
